micro VCA

micro VCA

Hello all. Well after putting off getting a MOTM synth (for over a
year!!) its looking like I may be able to finally get to have some of
that Synth Tech magic for myself. So in drawing out a list of
modules I would like to have I am finding that I want quite a few
VCA's. I know Paul has a Pan/Fade VCA thingy coming out sometime but
was wondering if a smaller 1 unit VCA might be in the works... (I
apologize if this has been discussed already; haven't had time to
check the archives)

Something like....

1 unit wide
2 control voltage input jacks*
2 attenuators to scale the incoming CV*
1 audio input jack
1 audio output jack
1 attenuator to scale the outgoing audio

* I like the idea of 2 CV options. Like using a EG for one and using
an LFO for tremelo on the other at the same time.

I think this would be a great Micro VCA. Who knows maybe this is
already in development and I just missed it. Any thoughts. Does my
idea suck?

There is a plan for a uVCA (dual) as follows:

6 jacks:

CV IN OUT
CV IN OUT

3 pots:

BIAS
CV MOD
CV MOD

the BIAS is like the current '110: it allows you to offset the CV going in. The 'B' channel is
just a CV attenuator, which if you ponder, is *exactly* the same as an output level attenuator.

But this is off in the summer time-frame.
