credit card issues

I'd prefer my credit card to be billed when I place the order. That way I
don't have to worry about keeping hundreds of dollars available on my card.
what does anyone else think?

I will do this *IF* you say "bill card now" in the comment field. This is a legal thing, but
happy to comply :)

I'd prefer that my credit card be billed when the order is shipped, as Paul
has done for the two shipments that he has sent to me after I placed my
order. (It was a good-sized order...) That way I'm not paying months in
advance for something before I receive it. It's not that I don't trust Paul,
but it just seems to me that it's simpler for both him and me if the money
and the goods change hands at the same time. OTOH he may not feel the same
way, given his experiences.

If you use Pay Pal, it grabs your money right away; no choice.

Same with Blacet. The automated secure server expects us to "Batch" all
orders within 24 hrs or it fines us 1% !!!
If you call up to order or mail in a form, we usually process when
shipping occurs although we once ate a huge order when the card was
declined because the customer had some big problems.

It's a bad day when that happens but you just hope the guy really
needed the money more than you. C'est la vie!

Having money up front is very helpful to cash flow which is sometimes a
concern in any business.
