Not that this is what you wanted to hear, but they work fine
for me... I
just pulled both of the MP3's from the NEWS page (Dave
Fulton's piece and
the 410 demo) and they opened right up in WinAMP under
Windows NT.
They're both done as MPEG 1.0 Layer 3, at 128kbs and
44.1khz.
Maybe the problem is with the MIME encoding? What happens if
you
SHIFT_CLICK to force the files down raw, and then load 'em
up? Are they
possibly coming down as ASCII encoded, and thus need to be
uncooked?
Just as a test to see if it's Paul's hosting service, can
you use any of
the files from here?
