That was originally correct that Synthesis Technology was going to release
that. But due to some existing agreements, Illudium received the contract and
renamed the unit the PU-37 Exploding Space Modulator (the marketing guys
apparently added the Exploding portion.

This brings to light another long, lost series of MOTM modules, the '000
series. Rarely discussed, but often utilized. The Space Modulator would have
been correctly classified as the MOTM-037 being the first actual module in the
'000 series.

The reverse has also happened where non-modules have been given module
designations such as the '960.

I hope this further clarifies Paul H's point.

Oh, goody!

P.S. Some early beta-tester feedback can be found on-line at:

     http://www.nonstick.com/sounds/Marvin_The_Martian/ltmm_001.wav

If you listen carefully to the beta-tester, the unit can be heard in the
background at the end of the comments:

Comments after a certain German (and NOT JH) found out about the unit:

The really sad thing is that two modules bearing this name really do exist -
I constructed both of them "under contract" for another fellow based on some
of my circuits. Unfortunately he never got around to his end of the bargain
- producing the panels for the @#$ things.

I'm not joking either. The development work from these went on to become the
Super Psycho Modulation Source.
