This system will be seen at the second annual Meeting of the Knobs in
Bedford Texas on June 21.

Very nice! What kind of wood and finish did you use?

Those look really sweet, John. I'm agonizing over cabinets now. I'm
out of space and trying to decide if I should make another crappy
Mike cabinet or spend the bucks for a Stooge set...

The "wood" is birch plywood. No special preparation needed, cheap,
simple to work with. The cabinet was prepared with Minwax Pre-Stain
conditioner (really brings out the wood grain), stained with Minwax
Colonial Maple stain, then given three coats of (you guessed it) Minwax
Polyurethane.

It took a full weekend and 5 weekday evenings to finish just the bottom
piece, so buying the Stooge set might be well-advised.

If you notice, once I finish some DIY modules and receive a few modules
from Paul I'm out of space as well. Time to start another one already...

SuperMoe is finished in this identical fashion, using the same wood,
except that I used a red oak stain.

Duh. That should read "Synth of Doom", not "SuperMoe" - but you
already knew that.
