Can I give a shout out to Larry?

2003-12-16 by supisuzoi

interested in the feedback on that q. (not a waldorf pun).

well, i received my 20-something stooge cables earlier this evening, and they sure
look perty! i'm happy to have them, and want to really thank Larry for making it
possible for everyone to get such things with such ease! we're really lucky to have his
enormous efforts and dedication! woohoo!

oh, and those stooge cable fit perfectly in my newly-aquired Modcan Active Interface/
Voltage Converter which Bruce Duncan recently whipped up. looks just like his normal
1/4" to banana interface, but half the connections are X2, and the others /2, for no-
hassle MOTM to Modcan interfacing (no need for extra gain or attenuators). let's hear
it for everyone playing together!

Ah shucks. You're welcome. 12 more people got happy mails about 10 minutes
ago as their cables have shipped. I have to say, UPS was a freakin' zoo.
This new system they have forcing their customers to make the lables on the
UPS computer terminal after you get to the pick up desk is aweful.

I have only 8 cables orders left to ship. I had planned to ship those
Tuesday. However, day gig commitments will delay those last 8 shipments and
a couple of bracket payments until Wednesday.

One note of concern for those that may be using PAiA gear with very closely
spaced 3.5 mm jacks. The hefty full size barrels of the wise guy synth
cables are too big in diameter to fit side by side in the PAiA tight jack
spacing. The work great in the Blacet and other modules that provide
adequate space between the jacks.

Thanks to everyone who made this latest run of Synth Tech Logo and Wise
Guy(s) Synth cables a success. We will do this again in the spring if there
is interest.

I want to add my voice to the mega-shout Larry deserves for these
cables. I ordered a bunch of 1/8" cables to use with my Blacet
system, and, while it may seem wierd to be excited by patch cables,
these are far and away the BEST DAMN 1/8" CABLES EVER MADE, PERIOD!

The package came this weekend while I was out of town on a gig. When
I got back, my wife had opened the box, and was giving me the dubious
"How much did you really spend on these" look when I got home. When I
told her, she couldn't believe that cables of such obvious quality
could be so cheap.
