The future of synth level monitoring?

The future of synth level monitoring?

Go to:

www.ramseykits.com

and search for:

HPS10SE

Imagine that behind a stooge panel. It's a handheld oscilloscope with
LCD display and DVM readout (ultimate drool factor).

Thanks to John Blacet for pointing out this item on the sdiy list.

also available for $57 less at:
http://www.apogeekits.com/oscilloscope_handheld_hps10se.htm

Someone should get one and attempt a conversion! (J Larry...?). You would want to test for radiated noise as this uses uP and backlight circuitry.

With significant interest, one might be able to track down the importer and make a deal.

I was thinking of a crude display using a pair of 5X7 LED displays, but this would be better by far.

There are kits version of this, too (possibly better suited for
modularization). And cheaper from other sites.

I have a 10-octave spectrum analyzer design I prototyed into a standard
MOTM board size that can use a pair of 5x7 displays on a small
right-angle-mount PCB. It was a project I was saving for next year, but
once this move to Chicago is complete I might have enough time to get it
ready for AHMW 2005. I made it to test the harmonic selector aka GX1
bandpass filter design, but if someone wants blinky-LED panel stuff, this
thing has 71 LEDs. ;)

can you provide some links to kits?

I do not have an oscilloscope at this time but want one. Would this be
good enough for general kit building and calibration? Seems like a
great all in one package in a small package.
