Stooge orders and such

OK, as of today, EVERYTHING that has been ordered and paid for has been shipped. The only exception is those of you who have paid your cable invoices. CABLES: I still have some of the cable invoices to send. I got many of them done this morning. But, I still have several to go. So, if you have not received yours, it will not come until I return from vacation. Cable delivery is expected at the end of August. SKB power supplies: They are here. I have to do some drilling yet on them. Sorry, I did not get to it. It will be # 1 on my priority list when I get back from vacation. I know a few of you are disappointed that cables and SKB power supplies have gone so slow (slower than ever before). I would be too. Let me just say that I have been overwhelmed with my day job and the cleanup of the mess I was left with from the ice storm in January of this year. I still have about 10 parts of trees laying in my yard that need to be cut up and dealt with from the ice storm. This week when I was planning to finish this stuff up, we got hammered with thunderstorms at work. I sincerely apologize to everyone for what even a slow Stooge like me admits is an unreasonable wait. I promise to make cable delivery and SKB power supplies a # 1 priority when I return. After that, we will start taking panel orders. Dave already has most all the new designs done. I am going on vacation in about 3 hours and will be out of touch until August 8th. During that time, I plan to relax and evaluate when Stooge products will go in the future. I honestly admit this last few months I have thought about just closing shop. I simply have not had time to do what is needed. However, behind the scenes, I have delivered a lot of brackets and flat rails. So, I am considering a new business plan for 2006. My wife is quitting her job in November. After the holidays, I plan to bring her up to speed on the non-technical tasks and bring her on board to help speed things up. To speed delivery, I am considering a model that will support more frequent and smaller orders. I'm thinking of stocking cables in standard colors either as opposed to or in addition to custom orders so that I can deliver them in a speedy fashion. I'm considering ordering a LOT of blanks metal panels in this stooge order and just stocking them so we can make smaller panel print runs on a frequent basis. Like Paul I do have some concerns over tying up money in a large inventory. Thanks to all our loyal customers. I'm sorry this has been such a crap year for delivery of custom products. It will get better. I promise. Stooge Larry
