Blacet builds

2005-07-29 by Greg Amann

Build the Time Machine, my first Blacet module in the MOTM format.
Well my first Blacet module, and it is in the MOTM format. Lotsa parts!

It does not come with pot or 1/4" plug lockwashers. Is this a problem?

Furthermore, the wiring is not RG-174A coax. Should I tank the Blacet
wire and order a spool of RG-174A from Mouser? (Digikey does not
stock the stuff, the pinheads).

PLL, BFG

No problem, it will work fine without them.
Paul S. will sell you a bag of them.

I prefer to use coax on all audio connections. Buy a spool from
Mouser, you'll need it for other things someday.

I didn't use any of the Blacet wire. It seemed to me that Mouser
only had very large spools. I just bought 30' from some ham outfit
I found on the web. I also use #24 twisted wire for everything
else. I just buy that in small spools at the local electronics
distributor.

Of course you will need the Highlander expansion board and Hendry
VC controller for your module as well.

The last photo shows the wiring at
