larry was our heart

larry was our heart

2005-10-13 by chris walcott

there's not much i can say that others have not already said. this
was truly a shock for me. frankly i'm having a really hard time
accepting it. larry was one of the good people in this crazy world
we live in. it's just not fair.

like many of us in the motm world, i started out with starter set of
modules, got on the list, ran into something or other that i went to
the list for and there was larry. then i discovered his web site. i
can't tell you how many times i've gotten through some difficult
procedure with his direct help. paul may the brains of this outfit
but larry was the heart and soul of our little community. he will be
greatly missed. my heart goes out to his family.

I am personally celebrating Larry's life by .... (wait for it) ... spending the week working on my rig. I have the power sorted oot now:

A 650VA UPS for the iMac with the MOTM plugged into the non-battery surge protection circuit of the UPS. The MIDI controllers, the mixer and the TD-20 etc. plug into the Furman.

Geez, you'd think I was in Pink Floyd or sumpin'.

I will try to take a few snaps on the weekend and post 'em so you guys* can get a look.

PLL, BFG

* guys: (n) plural - non gender specific honorific title to MOTM users and lurkers.
