Dare I suggest an exotic substance known as "paint"? It'd be pretty easy to
mask off the panel edges and spray or brush on some silver (or white) paint.
The lettering is already painted on, more or less, so this suggestion is not
completely crazy.

Pinstriping tape would also work, and it could be removed if need be.

Ideally, the laser engraver will play nicely with Polan, because that would
be the best way to treat the edges of existing modules.
