Stuck hex nut on Bournes pot

Happy Saturday all,
I've been assembling a 300 kit that I've had sitting around for a while and was getting very excited just a little while ago that I'd come so far. And then the blue Bournes pot's hex nut wouldn't come off. I mean, neither hex nut drive nor wrench will get this nut to budge.
I'm feeling like a bad sitcom character with a jar lid here... anyone know how to solve this situation?
I was getting so close to oscillaty goodness.
