Kester solder part numbers

Kester solder part numbers

2006-05-27 by Paul Schreiber

For 331:

24-6337-6401

For 245:

24-6337-8800

Electronic suppliers will go by these numbers. Check Allied, Newark, Mouser,
etc.

I hazard a guess. If you have different diameters for the two different
type of solder lying around, it is easy to tell which type you have.
Important, because you don't want to confuse these.

Paul, just curious why you choose 0.031 diameter solder for 245 instead of
0.020? Is there some advantage or other reason...

I would say that's a good guess! (needing more coffee now...)

For me, when I solder jack terminals, I completely fill the terminal
hole. I find that is easier to do with .031.
