Packages arriving w/o happy email

Packages arriving w/o happy email

2006-12-12 by Paul Schreiber

I expect many people will get the packages before I can update the SQL server.
So, expect some delayed emails about "Your package has shipped!" when you
already got it. I have to do this so I can keep track of everything. About 130
modules shipped today and 40 more tomorrow (Tuesday). I have been fighting a
bizarre Win XP issue with USB wireless adapters running WPA. This took
me...(glances at watch).....5 1/2 hours to figure out. I am about to crack open
a cold Dr. Pepper, eat a Baby Ruth, and attack the pile as long as the sugar
will let me. Also, I will start shipping VCOs and power supplies Wednesday. I'm
going to pester the metal supplier about rails: I sold maybe 8pr in the last 10
months, now everyone wants them :) So I was caught off guard a bit.

Remember, the Spectrol pots have changed over to the 'white' body version, and
some kits that had 148 linear pots will instead have 149 linear pots. Also, on
the MOTM-300 VCOs, the COARSE pot will be using a little pcb (called a
'chicklet') to connect the wires to the pot.

I just finished building an ARP-style 4075 filter module and I used
the chicklets from John Loffink for the three white RoHS
potentiometers. The chicklets are great! Wish I had them for my
other modules. Much easier and nicer.

The body style of the new Spectrol pots matches those I got from
Oakley some time ago. I never could figure out why they were
different since I think they had the same (or similar) part numbers.
Perhaps they introduced those in Europe first. Might have been lead
free for all I know.
