Clarification for what "In Stock" means

Clarification for what "In Stock" means

2007-03-22 by Paul Schreiber

The order form that I use *requires* me to list something as being "In Stock" in
order for you to *order it*.

Naturally, many people thinks this means "If I order on Monday, I should get it
by Friday. After all, it says right there it's In Stock."

Please understand, this is not the case. Maybe someday, but not right now.

Perhaps "pre-order" would be a better description for the item? Setting expectations certainly improves the overall experience.
