Early Update

Early Update

2011-07-24 by Paul Schreiber

Sending update tonight because tomorrow night is the 1 thing that strikes
terror in every man's heart: "Honey, I'm hosting a baby shower!". I plan to
be miles away.

I am moving the very last (and most difficult) item tomorrow into new work
area: the 800lb lab bench setup. At least it comes apart (sort of). I have
all the parts moved and most of the shelving set up. I shipped 17 MOTM 2.0
type orders this past week. So, this coming week I can start back being your
solder monkey.

MOTM-650s: I will start building these up ~ 10 days. I don't have all the
parts for the ones on order (currently 14) but everything is ordered. I am
having a quote to make a small CPU board run to use up the minimum front
panel order. This will allow 8 more to be offered, then THAT'S ALL FOLKS.
Now, I'm not putting the 8 'in the cart' until I get 100% confirmation about
the parts and the SMT assembly OK. Even if they do me this favor, it will be
8 weeks until they physically do it. And these last 8 will be another $10
more to cover the low-volume SMT charge. I should know ~ 1 week if I can
offer the 8 and if so will put them in the cart.

KITS: I have all but MOTM-480s made up. They are scattered in the garage but
will gather them up and I plan to ship all of these in August. At the end of
August I will make up the '480 kits.

I will continue to offer power supply kits.

Assembled Backlog: Well, it's still there :) Currently 63 modules (not
counting the 14 '650s). I lost my tech Shane (transferred out of area), I
have ~ 30% of the backlog's pc boards build and tested (not on panels). I
have to ping-pong between these and Euro, because Euro keeps the lights on.
And the A/C cold (last Euro payment went to new A/C systems for home, back
to Ice Station Zebra mode).

That's it for now, thanks for those left putting up with my crap.
