E340/E350 conversion to 5U

E340/E350 conversion to 5U

2011-08-19 by George Kisslak

Has anyone here successfully converted the E340 or E350 to a MOTM 5U setup? If so, can you provide some tips, like what bracket you used, how you handled the stand offs, what pots, panel, etc. and how long it took.

There are quite a few versions - Paul made one, using a FPE panel. Here's my version -

Feel free to contact me for details. Basically it's a FPE panel I designed, I used a bracket from Bridechamber, alpha pots, nkk switches, etc - the usual stuff.

Besides Steve's always very awesome builds, Richard Brewster did a nice one
in 1U!

I have a similar 1U FPD panel all ready to go for the Cloud Generator.
Naturally, I'll have a post about it when done!

Wow that module looks fantastic, you did a great job on that. Thanks for sharing. Good to know that such a thing is possible. I was about to buy a 340 and 350 from Paul and tackle this project, but unfortunately my company had a layoff today, and another one is rumored in 3 weeks, so who knows. Delaying until a [hopefully] sunnier day...
