Paul,

You're missing just a few modules. I think Dave V. had the count closer with about
22. Here's some that I can think of off the top of my head:

901 oscillator (predates the 921 and sounds different but less stable and no PWM or
sync)
901A oscillator driver
901B oscillator
9xx Envelope follower
904C Filter Coupler (used with 904A and B to kinda do a bandpass)
There were a few versions of the 914 filter bank, some with more bands
9xx Bode Frequency shifter
There were also a few attenuator panels but I would count them the same as the CP
mixer/CV panels.
9xx four channel mixer (a large module)
The sample and hold was a separate box. There were also some custom additions like
ring modulators, etc. but I don't think they made those as modules.

We also can't forget the other controllers besides the S&H, the keyboards, the
ribbon controllers, the X-Y controller and the drum controller.

We certainly do have it better these days with a larger selection of modules and
capabilities!

The 901 was replaced in 1972, so that's why I didn't include it.

I think these were never a 'catalog' item. I have every piece of sales lit
Moog ever printed,
and it's never listed.

ZZZzzzzzzzzz.

> There were a few versions of the 914 filter bank, some with more bands

There was a 914A the last 2 years of production.

> 9xx Bode Frequency shifter

Not really a "module", and it was a Moog re-tag (actually, built by
Polyfusion).

Like I said, "...excluding the crappy panels...." :)

Forgot this one. Came out in 1976.

They don't count! Not modules. I'm not going to count the Vocoder and DoMOAS
as a module, either :)

Correct!! And a "Moog" equivalent of a small MOTM, in *today's dollars*,
would be about
$11,000.

Not to pick nits, but this had to come out much earlier. Mine has a 1969 tag on it.

A-ha!

It's actually called a "Console Panel #3"

OK, so you forced me to look it up.

Check

984 Four Channel Mixer. It is not a console panel.

That's because it's in a IIIc. When Moog switched to 15/35/55 systems, it
got
renamed "System Console #3". I'm looking at the Moog 55 sales catalog.

Yeah, but they had a ribbon controller!!!!!

Ok, I'll sit down and shut up now.

I believe that is a very different beast from the 984. The 984 is a four channel
quad matrix mixer with bass and treble controls on each output channel. It took
lots of space because it had lots of knobs. All of the system console and CP-x
panels were 4 channel mono mixers that could also do CV mixing (well, not that
accurately).

This is Paul's way of expressing how "in sync" he is with so many of his
customers!

No, this is Paul *answering the question asked*, and not flying off into the
ozone
to discuss Bob Moog's facial hair.

Ok, so I'll have to do that as a D-I-Y project... but at one point I thought
you were interested in doing the joystick module. Is that still on the
books? The Moog X-Y module seemed to put you to sleep (I thought I heard you
snoring).

Still doing a panel with IMB PC standard analog joystick and *maybe* PS/2
mouse
for you wacky X/Y guys.

Well, this will (somewhat) redeem you, although you don't seem terribly
interested in redeeming yourself in this alternate controller arena anyway.

(Raising hand) wacky as charged... the more "alternative" controllers, the
better.
