Hmmm... $445 for a ribbon controller in 1972.  In 1974 a Corvette was just 
under $8,000.

yes, but in 1979 a minimoog was $1995 and an 1150 ribbon controller was $395
today the moog performance synth is supposed to retail around $1995 so maybe a
ribbon controller would sell for around $395...

the flip side of the price list arguement

Which the *point* is: in today's dollars it would be about $2800. I don't
think that's
such an attractive deal. People are grousing about $2000 vodocers as it is.
How many
$800 ribbon controllers would sell? 10? 20? Not worth the RODT (pronounced
rodent:
Return On Design Time). And YES, it would cost that much!

I like the Wacom digitizing tablets. 8 bits of pressure resolution.4 sizes.
Wireless pens. Cool.
