The range on the knobs might seem a bit wacky going into a V/Oct MOTM system. I don't believe it has any quantization but I may be wrong. I found the SQ-10 being problematic, but not specifically with V/Oct gear like MOTM. Yes, it does work with V/Oct (What you need is a gate inverter for the Gate signals, though), and the range switches help setting the desired sensitivity of the knobs. But ... IMO the SQ-10 is so badly designed from its user interface that you will think twice before you get one. (And I am generally very fond of Korg stuff, including the MS series, mind you.) Want to change the sequence length - no switch - you have to re-patch the whole thing. Do this on the fly while recording something - not. In theory you have the advantage of individual access for each step's gate output (and a reset input) - but keep in mind that all this is switch trigger as well. (MS-series users will appreciate that.) The rotary knob that selects the different sequencing modes isn't the best choice either. I don't remember what it was exactly - I think the currently running sequence is always reset when the mode is changed. Or something similar. The SQ-10 was something I badly wanted and bought at an auction, but which I soon sold again for less money, just to get rid of it. All right, no flames please, it's just my personal opinion (;->) In short: Problems yes, specific problems with V/Oct no, Gate inverter(s) required. JH.
