CV ignorance...

CV ignorance...

2000-10-11 by doc pendergast

greetin's & salutations,
i am a complete newbie to the modular worl..., er, universe. i have
a vague understandin' of control voltages, but am in need of a
greater body of knowledge than i have thus been able to glean so
far. i'm basically seekin' the "a-z of control voltages". i'm
assumin' someone has at somepoint written a book or few on the
subject, but haven't an idea as to where to find or purchase. any
suggestions?
resources on analog sequencers would be appreciated as well.
any input would be much obliged...
peace,
doc

Hmmm...is that phone number still working. Rex has moved to Milwaukee. If
someone
does answer, ask for Kevin Breheine (sp?) (pronounced Brah-hee-nee).

Last I heard, Serge is splitting into 2 parts: Kevin is doing 9 "standard"
panels *only* and
Rex will do the "full custom". I talked to one person about 2 weeks ago that
had *just received*
his custom panel that was ordered last *November*. And you'all think I'M
slow! HA!

Paul S.
(Got his copy for $5 at Half-Price books)

thanks paul,
i'll give it a try mañana and see how it goes.
the last keyboard i bought, i spent 2 and a half months waitin' for
it to come in, "no really it'll be here in 2 weeks". wow, 11 months,
i feel better already. i promise to never harass you for bein' slow,
besides i have problems with 1/8" jacks, so where else am i gonna go?
glad to not be waitin' in vain...
peace,
doc

getting.

h3y dave,
seattle as well. a *hot* vindaloo here is unfathomable. i ask for
hot and they look at me like i'm crazy. i get it, and the burn has
worn off before i've finished the meal. 'tis sad really, such a
waste if'n it's mild...
when i make it at home, i have to make two different pans, one for
me, one for my housemates...(mine's always bigger)
good luck in your search for ambrosia.
peace,
doc

doc,
i`ve yet to find a good indian place nearby. there are some nice ones in
virginia but generally, i don`t like to go that far just to have dinner.
there are some good thai places nearby, though. i made friends with the owner
of one and now he`ll make me stuff like his family eats, positively fiery
and darn near lethal. i haven`t quite figured out yet how his small kids eat
it and survive !
best,
dave v.
