hello all,

i've been after stripboard magic for ages - though allegedly a friend of a
friend has a copy - if it ever turns up i'll post my triumph to the list
(although it might be shite)
i've searched endlessly on the web for stripboard magic, maplins haven't
sold it for around two years - hence you could safely say that it's dead
so, i'll run a couple of copies of, but i'd prefer to only send one out to
the states - you can copy it on from there...?
that's if it ever turns up...
i will begin a course of gentle prodding and hinting

After ordering some kits the other day im glad there is a list like this.
I've been scouring over the posts from the the last few months and there is
some interesting reading to be had.
    Anyway let me introduce myself a little.... names Andrew Parker, Im 27
and live just outside of Portsmouth in the UK. I've been a hobbyist in
electronic music since well about 15 when I started with a Korg Poly 61. Im
now gladly tweaking a 24U Doepfer modular amongst other things but enough
about that ;).
    I've decided to get into building my own system based on the MOTM
modules as they seem the most "user friendly" construction wise. Im no
electronics genius by far and to date have only built patch panels and leads
so this is going to be an exciting challenge for me. I hope I wont have to
bother the list with help all the time but it may be necessary if things get
out of hand ;).

The schematic question

After I've completed my MOTM kits and if everything goes fine, I'd like to
build some of these small projects for LFO's and Lag processors that are
strewn around various DIY sites. Now, to be honest I cant read schematics so
are there any small PC programs that can magically create a PCB layout and
parts list from a schematic?.

The seqeuncer question/idea

Im currently using an Atari ST to sequence my midi gear and clock my Doepfer
system, TR808, Devilfish and 101. I use 3xA155 sequencer modules (2 linked)
on the doepfer to run off 32 note patterns etc. What I've always wanted to
see is multi-channel 32 note sequencer, say about 4 or 8 rows of 32 (12 way)
knobs with octave selection and various functions like reverse play and
pattern shifting etc. Im aware of the Doefper system like this but its not
quite the same and im not bothered about outputting midi. This would
probably be quite expensive, has anyone had thoughts on a sequencer like
this or even built one ?
