I agree! The 700 is the most suprisingly useful module I have added to my MOTM!!! I use it in almost every patch I can just to add a change-up. Everyone of you who has the basic monophonic synthesizer set up should add one. I added an extra 800 ADSR just to keep things interesting. Fat tool and you can spilt your keyboard cv and gate to alternate to a separate set of outs. One set could be made to only output CV/Gate below Middle C and the other set to only output CV/Gate above middle C. Now, provided you have 2 basic setups (VCO, VCF, VCA, EG) you can have a monophonic bass voice and a lead voice both played from the same keyboard! Fantastic and very cool feature not really given its due in praise IMHO. I also love to set the ADSR attack as slow as possible and have the voltage set so the switch alternates to a second waveshape on the fade out of each note. Blah blah blah man, you get the idea. Don't get caught slippin.

is there a way that this module can crossfade the two inputs [rather than
switching them on/off]? perhaps using other modules ??

put on yer thinking caps..

nope,
it's like trying to crossfade with a pair of lightswitches - although i'd
love for someone to prove me wrong
i tried to string something together with a pair of VCAs, an LFO and
inverted LFO, but i think the inverter messed it up a little, now i've moved
in pretty much, i'll try it again soon (tomorrow in fact...)
paul is planning a vc'd crossfade / pan module sometime soon though, and i'm
sure he said it would be a TEN

The closest thing I can think of would be to use the following:

1 MOTM-700 Dual Switch
1 MOTM-320 VC LFO
4 EGs
2 MOTM-110 VCAs

Plug triangle from LFO into a multiple, to split it to both
channels of the 700. We will use both channels of the MOTM-700
to fire two EGs, one that fires at -4.8V, and another that fires
at +4.8V. Use 2 EGs with sustain cranked to act as GATE
signals, to be fed to the other two EGs.

You will have to play with the ADSR settings of both "output
EGs" to get anything close to a pan signal. Of course, you plug
the EG control voltages into MOTM-110 VCAs, each receiving an
audio signal, and routing the signals to Stereo Left and Right.

Regards,

Roy Tate

P.S. If anyone tries this, let me know if it worked. It is
basically a wild idea, not a proven technique.
