I have a 5U tall one that I cut up for my sequencer panel. http://www.alliedelec.com Moe

I got a 1U panel with a "crinkle" black finish (as close as you're going to get without having to beg Moe to get him to throw it in with the next batch of diy MOTM panels). I think it cost me on the order of $7. It is aluminum, but it might not be so easy to find the steel ones that Mr. Sikorsky mentioned. I got mine from a local electronics store (not RS) which sells a lot of car stereo type equipment. They might be available from Mouser or music shops which sell blank rack panels (since black is the default color for this kind of stuff). The steel ones with the roll back edges are available from musicians friend. Not an exact match, but if you want something strong enough to drill a bunch of holes in it, is the way to go. However, the 1/8" alum from Allied and Mouser would be just fine for dress. I have some of the Steel ones I can photo next to MOTM stuff if you want the comparison. Larry H
