Mark, You've done pretty well as far as price goes - quite a bit cheaper than what I paid for mine, and if you've got a station wagon or truck at your disposal - go pick the thing up yourself and save the 370 pounds for repairs or new parts. If a cord/plug is the problem, it looks like Martin should be able to help you out with that. From the photo, your tape frame looks pretty good and the interior seems to be pretty clean, which may indicate that the machine has had better care than a lot of them. The track selector arm and bushing seemed to be quite rusted, so if you don't already have one, you may want to invest in a dremel or roto tool with a wire brush to clean that up. Overall it looks like you've got a pretty good machine for starters, and that's a good thing - and at such a price yet! Don't fear - you're going to love your tron, johnb --- In newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com, Mark Pring <markpringnz@...> wrote: > > > In a message dated 03/01/2008 07:48:43 GMT Standard > > Time, > > markpringnz@... writes: > > > > that's about $750 US > > or 370 pounds. > > > A bargain... > > > > Norm > > > I hope so and not the beginning of years of wailing > and gnashing of teeth, me that is. > > Mark > > > > ____________________________________________________________________________________ > Never miss a thing.
