Mike,

Are they doing a lot of shows there since it was rebuilt. What a beautiful place to live….

Hi All..

I seems to me that Mike Pinder isn't the only guy on the planet who can play a mellotron. Given how important it is/was to their sound, why not ditch (most of) their electronic keyboards and bring back a 'tron. Even if it's gimmicky, a mellotron backed concert with their reduced numbers is a concert I might go to see.

I can't remember if I have told this before, but here goes again. About six years ago the Moody Blues were playing (quite literally) on the other side of my street at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh. I'm not interested in seeing them at all but I did offer them the use of my M400. I went across the street, spoke to the desk there who got me the road manager (or someone similar). I explained I have a Mellotron with loads of tapes and that it was free for them to use that night if they so wished.

The response? 'No thanks, mate - they're just shit'.

Oh well.
