Hi Mark, It sounds like you didn't try to even get close to your Mellotron sound with the M-tron. I used to use the M-tron and it sounded much closer to the actual Mellotron than in this comparison. Were you even attempting to get the same sound or was that not your intent at the time you recorded these?
