The Mellotron Group

I didn't bash them - I just can't stand them.  It's personal choice, nothing more.  They are well respected but I can't force myself to like them because they used a mellotron.  So did Pavlov's Dog and Czar.  Neither of them get played around here.  In truth, I would probably hate most of the bands that Andy documents on his site.  Mellotrons inspired a LOT of non musicians and lousy composers.  That grandiose sound gave credence to a lot of weak musical ideas.  Pomp over substance.  I also loathe......Lynyrd Skynrd, U2, REM, and many many more.  Music is such a devisive subject.  Luckily I am always correct!  Discuss.
