That was pretty funny Mike!!
Orchestrons are good in their own way, just not comparable at all to a Mellotron. The sound is different, as is the feel of playing one.
But then it was advertised back then as mainly an improvement over the Mellotron's 8 second limit, and with improved portability. Of course, back then they didn't care as much whether you had an Orchestron, Birotron, Mellotron, or Chamberlin - as long as you didn't have to hire an orchestra.

Well...yes. In the same sense that Gravel Lasagne has an interesting crunchiness to it.
