Re: [newmellotrongroup] Dewtron Bass pedals

I know they did build to order. I saw a few bands with weird touring keyboard rigs with their sticker on it, a few of them huge organs with full size synths in tolled covered road cases early 70s again.

I recall looking for these on the web a while back with not too much information available. I think these we sold as a kit like the old radio Heathkits.

Maybe it was a 'Buy British' thing.. who knows? Hmmm... the oscillator gubbins are completely potted in resin... Nice....
Ah well. It'll be worth it. The Dewtron sounded great on 'Can-Utility And The Coastliners' anyway, so that'll do for me in the absence of a Taurus 1..

congrats.. I just learned something

I remember that Rutherford a potent longwave generators in 72-73. Dewtrons custom rare and veddy English.

Neither of them used Crumars ? Crumars were so much easier and cheaper than anything else out there back in the 70s.I'd use those now.

hey folks- do any of you own a DEWTRON 'Mister Bassman' bass synth, as used by Mike Rutherford and Chris Squire before the advent of the Moog Taurus?

I've just acquired one via ebay.. for restoration etc.. .
