R.I.P. He was an innovative musician for sure. I bought a '91 Thunderbird  
because I saw a photo of him sitting in one.

Sad to hear of Dave Brubeck's passing. A talented pianist and  
innovational composer . I am sure many here on the list will have  
acknowledged him as bringing jazz to a greater audience. I also  
suspect some here have been influenced by  him.
