I was at a Midnight Special taping of Black Oak Arkansas - no lip synch there, just 4 takes or so of each tune (Race with the Devil, Not Fade Away)

I've recently watched some 'Midnight Special' clips on YouTube of various 70's bands.
There's no doubt that some of them are lip synching.
Truly 100%\ufffd live music seems to be a thing of the past.
