Must have been using the Nord as a master controller. It was certainly being played for the major Tron parts. In fact one of the 3 drummers played these parts. How talented is he? :) A Sent from my iPad > On 2 Sep 2015, at 17:19, Martin tronbros@aol.com [newmellotrongroup] <newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com> wrote: > > Hi Andy > > They were using the M3000 iPad app and also have two Memotron racks! > > Best > > Martin > > Mellotronics.com > 1963 - 2015 52 years of mellotrons > >> On 2 Sep 2015, at 10:51, Andy Kinch kinchmusic@aol.com [newmellotrongroup] <newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com> wrote: >> >> >> >> Went to see the band do a warm up gig for the world tour at Friars Aylesbury last night. They appear to be using the Nord Mellotron library to good effect. There was quite a bit of early material played including Starless, Epitaph, 21st CSM and ITCOTCK. >> I have to say that in a live situation, the Nord stood its ground pretty well. There's a quite a decent EQ on the instrument as well as some pretty good amp and effect simulations, enough to fool most people I would think. And during those early songs it was well up in the mix, and I'm pretty certain it created enough of a 1969 vibe to send the audience home on a significant high. >> >> AK >> >> Andy Kinch >> kinchmusic@aol.com > >
