Hi Paolo-

    Every other tape head in the MK2 photos were wired out of phase by the factory.  The re-wiring put them in phase with each other.  This improved the signal-to-noise ratio.  The M400s are all wired in-phase, so, no problem.

 or MKV tape head are wired, maybe this modification only
 concerns MKII.
