What does it look like?
Can you still get one?

Mark, I can tell you how to make one. All it is for it to help put tapes
into virgin frames.

Here's how you make one:

Cut a piece of bals or other wood into a block 1.25 inches X 2 inches X
.375 inches. Then get two pieces of spruce or bass wood 18 inches long and
3/8ths" wide and 1/8th inch thick (.375"). Glue the spruce or bass wood strips to
the bock along the 2" length. Wrap the block with duct tape. You're done. You
now have the tool.

So when are ready to put tapes into a virgin frame, mount the frame into
the Mellotron, screwing in the front and back rails. Put the piece of tape into
the back rail under the proper screws. Dump most of the rest of the tape
into the spill box and slide a few inches of the other end under the proper two
screws on the front rail, while making sure that the tape is not twisted. Use
the tool to shove the tape down over the front tape guide rollers such that
two loops appear down in between the plastic tape separators. Grab the two
loops from underneath with your fingers. While holding the loops in proper
position with one have, pop open the turnbuckle with the other. Do not twist the
turnbuckle; keep it aligned. Pop the loops over the respective turnbuckle
spindles and close up the turnbuckle. Do this 34 more times. All the tool is for
is to help push the tape down over the front roller guides so that you can
grab it from underneath.

Then go to the chiropractor.

Frank.
