Interestingly.............or maybe not, TCotCK (abbreviated just to  
annoy)was recorded by sending the MKII through a Wem stack and miking that(or  so 
we've been told) but when the MKIIs came into us, they had been modified to  a 
1/4" jack output and maybe this was for direct injection but who knows for  
certain.  I don't, my mum Betty doesn't and neither does the bloke  down the pub 
with a whippet.

According to Ian McDonald, in The Mellotron Book, the MkII  was put through a 
Marshall stack and miked.
 
My question: Does Martin feign ignorance or is that an inborn  trait?
