Many of you know that Karen and I are Doberman lovers... Actually dog  lovers 
who have Dobermans. Last night we lost our old boy, Wolf, to torsion,  also 
known as bloat. Once it happens, there is no cure beyond surgery. We tried  to 
save him but we could not. He was almost 11 years old.
 
If any of you own deep-chested dogs like Labs, Dobes, German Shepherds or  
Great Danes, please learn about this. Any dog can die from it, but deep-chested  
dogs are the most likely. 
 
Please read about this and understand how you can help prevent it. We did  
everything right but he died anyway.
 
He was our baby.
