Dunno about the Fizmo, but in defense of the Ensoniq Mirage, I use it as an 
adjunct keyboard, and have a track in the works that mixes the Mellotron 
"Watcher" mix and the Mirage disk's 3-violins sound to create a very powerful hybrid 
sound.  I've also used my trusty Roland Juno-60 (with custom patches) the 
same way.
