When not traveling, just midi the MicroKorg to the big keyboard  and you're 
good to go. Also you no longer have to shift octaves. I midi it to my  Triton 
Pro X.

It sounds good but I  would be a bit concerned about the small keys, I've not 
been playing  that long and my piano teacher has just spent a year getting me 
to stop  looking at the keys. Any thoughts about the R3? It isn't much bigger 
but  it's quite a lot more expensive and doesn't run on batteries  but  would 
sit quite nicely on top of the  tron.
