Incidentally, that's where the infamous cat sound originated -- using  
real cats and a horrific torture device to make them "sing". The  
Normans (no relation to Mssr. Leete, by the by) then riffed off that  
idea for the original 8 choir, but it was horribly expensive to do,  
since it involved depleting one's work force of serfs in order to get  
the desired effect. You could roast an ox at the same time, however,  
so it wasn't all bad news...
