Oh man, I had really cheap copy of a LesPaul when I was in my teens that just would not stay in tune, I mean, never. But in my stubborn pig-headedness I kept using it and suffered the glares of bandmates for a summer till I ditched it for 1/4 of what I payed for it. Many gigs I came close to using it as a baseball bat.
My father, on the other hand, lit an upright piano on fire and played it while someone took the picture. I know he has the photo somewhere, so the next time I go have a beer with him, I'll see if he can dig it up.
