Hello,
A little off topic, but Mike Dickson's mellotron/viola sounds just wonderful! Does anyone know what kind of reverb unit Mike uses for his tron?
Thanks,
Mark
I use a variety. If I am recording to the mixer then I play it through an Alesis MIDIverb II. It's a low end, low budget job, but it has a pleasant quallity to it that I don't hear in many other digital reverbs. It also comes with a gorgeous 'bloom'...a sort of reverbed reverse reverb. Good with flutes.
I've also played it through the spring reverb in my Hammond and the very springy reverb in my keyboard amp.
I also use a variety software reverbs, notably the Timeworks and Waves DirectX jobs. It all depends on what I'm looking for - they all have their own characteristics.
The CLR viola demo was all Alesis on a fairly low 'room' setting on a 25% dry mix.
