I use the Ernie Ball 25K ohm pedal with the MK-VI output jack. I just tested it with the volume pedal jack. It worked well with a 1/4" TRS plug (stereo) cable connected to the pedal output. It DID NOT work with a TS plug (mono) cable. I would guess that the M400 volume pedal jack needs a tip / ring / sleeve plug too. The Yamaha FC7 has a TRS plug doesn't it? I don't notice any difference in the sound quality whether the pedal is used on the output or with the pedal jack. I have one that I use with my guitars, but I'm using an FC7 with #500. I like the feel of the Ernie Ball better, but I thought it could only be used with the output jack. > > Bernie > > --- In newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com, "ClayE" <ecclesreinson@> wrote: > > > > Ernie Ball volume pedals are well made.
