The Mellotron Group

A database is a great idea.  With data storage so cheap these days, lots of details could be included.  Stuff like instrument histories (& legends), purchase & delivery stories, upgrades, frame info, gigs, etc.

……and with the relatively small number produced as well as the relatively high price many of these instruments should have 
very interesting histories.  Alembic keeps a record of the initial sale and also what exotic woods and customizations were done 
and owners down the line can voluntarily update the records as they change hands.

Hey Frank,
Have you or others on this group ever considered a Mellotron registry database to try to account for the ones still in existence.  
I have an Alembic bass and they maintain a database of all of the instruments they have produced and you can access it and enter 
your instrument info on their website.  It would be interesting to see the SN & history (if known) of the Mellotrons out there.  
….just a thought…..
