I'm invoking the right of Fuck It (first set forth in the Magna Carta, I 
believe). After two weeks of waiting for the temperature and humidity to 
come into a reasonable range, and two botched attempts at brushing a 
lacquer finish, I've sanded the new feet down to the bare wood and am 
spraying them black.
