What are those vintage keyboards on that water pipe stand?

They both exude the stench of cheesy home keyboards.  The top one looks like 
an old Portasound, can't tell the bottom one with all the shit stuck on it. 
A long time ago I had a stand that was made for me by a friend at a muffler 
shop out of exhaust tubing.  Bastard was heavy, but boy was it stable...

I thought you liked to Rock.  Look at the left corner under the top
keyboard, behind the high hat.  There's a wedge of cheese there for
stability.

Isn't the cheese just a rebus?

I played around with the photo for a couple minutes and I think that's one 
of those off-brand stands that were around in the late Eighties/ early 
Nineties, which is about the vintage of those keyboards.  The boards are 
definitely consumer instruments, you can see the little icons of drums on 
the "fallboard" of the top instrument, and both of them have built-in 
speakers, I'd go with Yamaha for the top one and Casio or Technics for the 
bottom one.  Looks like a hotel banquet room too, check out the carpet and 
the chairs.  Bet this gig was boring as all hell.

Actually, I would love to have been in one of those banquet room chairs!
The people in the room were mostly awestruck.  A review of the show
stated that "they performed flawlessly".

To which the band replied "thanks, Mom!"

At the May 2005 Convention, (something like a Star Trek Convention),
this band received a standing ovation when they walked on stage.  The
keyboardist's son was controlling a computer triggering background
tracks to compliment the songs.  A 15 year old Apple computer, held
together by scotch tape and chewing gum.

Nothing like a computer for a "flawless performance," eh?
