Well if you blinked you might have missed
me!!
I was only on for one song (or should that be piece
of music?). I did a solo performance of Harrison's Wonderwall soundtrack bit
"Drilling A Home". That's the one with the Mellotron Dixieland tapes. I
think people were shocked that it was comical quackery coming from the machine
and not the Strawberry Fields flutes.
But I like to show people that the Mellotron is
capable of much more than just the standard sounds we always hear.
I also had promised the organizer of the show that
I would appear two times before, yet was unable to make it both times. And
like the last two times when I couldn't go, I only knew my availability at
the last minute. So I really owed this to him, and was glad to do
it.
