Is that a reference to our proposed M5000? at the moment it is permanently on hold as we have M4000 orders to last a while and no time for development. Best laid plans and all.......... M 1963 to 2013 - 50 years of mellotrons mellotronics.com on my iPad

Breathe out... :-( That would really have been something. A good move for you guys, Martin. The world economy being what it is, this is no time for prototyping. You guys do great stuff to keep us all going and you make a great machine... the M4000. Mine has never failed to do what it's supposed to do... and it's three and a half years old. It does misbehave now and again, but only to remind me what it is. The cycling has always worked properly and though a tape might stick on occasion, that usually is a function of environment. After three years, it is due for some attention, but it will wait until May. I'm moving soon and it and the rest of my keyboards and equipment will no longer reside my the basement. Instead, all will be in family room #2 which will be environmentally superior to the current location. Mel, soon to return from his "spiritual" visit with Kyozan Joshu Sasaki, has asked for his own room. Karen and I have decided to accommodate him and will prepare space under the stairs just off family room #2. Also. (Sound the trumpets) I will have a new shop that is 50% larger than the old one and completely above ground. AND NO MORTGAGE. ha! Frank. In a message dated 3/4/2013 5:50:15 P.M. Yes, but we decided to get a house down at the shore. We were thinking of going down in size; just a small cottage, but then we decided to by a foreclosure property and so after a bit of research, we bought this place... We may end up making it a "Bed and Breakfast", but first, inside it's going to need quite a bit of fresh paint... The cool thing is that it's so close to the boardwalk. We hate our current neighbors and one of the attractions of the place is the ability to get rid of rif-raf who try to use our private beach. In a message dated 3/5/2013 9:27:17 A.M. That's a bummer, but you do what you must! It had come up in a conversation with some of my music friends, so I was wondering again. I still have this dream that as my band continues to grow, I'll be that guy who tours all the heavy pieces of furniture. My A-100, my Conn 432, my Rhodes, and I'm hoping some day a MkII. No clue how I'm going to attain THAT one. I figured if the M5000 was coming about maybe I'd spring for that instead down the line a way. Or, as long as I'm talking pipe dreams maybe I'll buy two M4000s from you, rip the guts out of the cabinets and hire a top-rank cabinetry guy to build a cabinet as close to a MkII as can be! Have plastics makers fashion the controls the same. That would be something! Frank, great to hear things are on the up for you! Last time we talked it was sounding a whole lot more dire. -Sean --- In newmellotrongroup@yahoogroups.com, tronbros <tronbros@...> wrote:
