Apologies if this has been covered before. I recently sold my M400, and though I'll miss it, I look forward to the convenience of a "digital Mellotron". I'm kind of leaning toward the M4000D because of the polyphonic aftertouch. Any thoughts from the group? I don't think I'll ever be able to play either of them to "test them out", so I'm curious to hear what people think.
Thanks,

If you are going digital, try the iPad Mellotronics M3000 app or GForce MTron Pro. Both sound more authentic that the M4000D at a fraction of the cost. If you need an actual keyboard, wait for the new Memotron from Manikin. It's a dream. Martin Mellotronics.com 1963 - 2015 52 years of mellotrons

Why would you want it? It's a mellotron! When the Mellotronics iPad app came out we had emails asking why there were no filters etc. It was attempting to be a mellotron and nothing more. Best M Mellotronics.com 1963 - 2015 52 years of mellotrons

Exactly what I was thinking! There is no aftertouch on a Mellotron. If there is, it needs looking at! These myths still persist don't they? Even when my M400 had a CMC10 you couldn't bend pitch by leaning on the keys...PM
