Hi all,

I have set up the fundraiser to cover the fee to migrate this group and all its contents over to groups.io:

The new group is already active (on the free plan): https://groups.io/g/Mellotron. No need to subscribe there. Once we have the funds everybody here will be automatically subscribed to the new list.

I have upgraded the new group to the premium plan and set the migration to groups.io <http://groups.io/> in motion. This will take at least a few days, maybe even a week, because they are extremely busy as you can imagine. Tonight they will be offline for a couple of hours to upgrade their database servers, so don’t panic if you happen to go there and nothing works. :)

Again, thank you all! And not a moment too soon it turns out, because groups.io <http://groups.io/> is going to upgrade their servers tonight, and then DOUBLE their price starting tomorrow. Pfew…

The migration should happen any time now. We’re in the queue, I can see that. I have already transferred two other groups, and they went w/o any problem.

Another quick update: this Yahoo group has been downloaded by groups.io <http://groups.io/> and stored for processing. We are now in the queue for the actual import. There are 237 other groups before us… It’s busy over there.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
